Making your latte, working with the motto "just say yes," dealing with the hobos, the clueless, the regulars, and amazing(ly dumb) customers. I'm your starbucks barista.

Its happening!!

Hey 1700 friends still following this tumblr - I’ve decided to actually start the process of turning my blog into a book!  I think self-publishing right now seems to be the best route, and I like how cute the name lulu (as in lulu.com) is. I just started seriously organizing the material I have, and I can already tell its going to (obviously) be a lot of work.  I want to let you guys know that I’m not just printing out my entries starting on day one and having my last chapter be my last day at work.  Its going to be awesome and read like a book more than a blog/diary.  There are a few stories/topics I never wrote about so expect some new stuff along with the majority of my stuff revised.  Don’t worry, I won’t take any funny out or make it more or less starbuckian than I originally wrote it, but I want to make sure it flows nicely.  I’m also going to be get some smart/funny/aesthetically in the know friends to look over it a bunch of times to make sure it all looks kosher and I don’t make a million typos like I usually do.  I’m also a terrible decision maker, so I might be asking for your opinion on things.

If you are a barista (edit: from starbucks or another coffee shop!) or customer who has a good coffee/starbucks story and would like to share it in this said book, send it over to me at 147xxxx at gmail.com.  If it fits nicely in what I’m editing my blog to be, I’ll totally use it and give you cred and all that.

If anyone wants to help out email me and let me know.  A few people said they wanted to help, so I’ll get back to you soon about that when… I know what it is you can actually do.

WHO’S EXCITED?
