Making your latte, working with the motto "just say yes," dealing with the hobos, the clueless, the regulars, and amazing(ly dumb) customers. I'm your starbucks barista.

Hey You!!

Long time no see - missed you guys!  So its been quite a bit since my last entry and my last day at starbucks, but, friends, I have something I wanted to talk to yall about:

Someone suggested that I might want to think about turning 147xxxx into a book… and so I’m thinking about it.  The blog was a fun project for me while I was a barista, and a lot of people seemed to really like it.  I mean, I know that my mom would definitely buy it.  Couldn’t you see the 147xxxx book propped up on a table at Barns and Nobles along with Pour Your Heart Into It and How Starbucks Saved my Life?  Perfect for that barista in your life. Or got that starbucks fanatic in the office (who makes a big deal about getting her triple grande skinny vanilla latte everyday around 3pm) for secret santa?  Yeah, the 147xxxx book is perfect.  The cover would also look mad good, so you don’t have to be embarrassed about leaving it out in your living room or reading it on the train - I mean, some people do judge a book by its cover.  Don’t you think it would be kinda awesome?

Now, I really know very little about this whole publishing process.  I’ve been googling and asked a few great people for some advice (thanks!!!), but since I still have bunches of followers, I figured why not ask for your help.  If you have any helpful tips on how to get published or know someone in the publishing world (that would be super great), email me at sb147 at nycmail.com

But honestly, what do we think? Any feedback on a fully edited (perhaps a bit extended) book version of 147xxxx would be great.  Would people buy it? What should be different about it? Is this a stupid idea - should I just keep it a blog?)

You can respond in the comments, answer via tumblr, or email me at 147xxxx at gmail.com

Thanks so much you guys!!!!

p.s. I’d also like to say thanks for being so nice and awesome.  When I left the blog, I did it because I was leaving the country for a few months and going to Prague where I knew no one - kinda scary.  I received so many emails, comments, tweets, facebook messages, etc wishing me good luck and such on my time over there.  Well I had the most amazing experience of my life and met so many people, and I want to say thanks to you guys :) It really meant a lot having you send those good vibes my way when I needed it! I mean, really, how great are you guys?
